Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
242 AM CST Fri Nov 24 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A slightly elevated fire danger is expected for today due to
SW winds increase into 15 to 20 mph today with gusts to around 30
mph as well as relative humidity values falling into the 30 to 35
percent range. However, high fire danger will be mitigated by
10-hour fuels and 1-hour fuels have fuel moistures in the 9 to 15
percent range. That being said if any fire does develop rapid fire
growth is expected with the strong and gusty winds today. Tonight
winds will subside and remain light through the weekend as high
pressure remains over the area keeping fire weather danger low.
