Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northeast Montana
National Weather Service Glasgow MT
1250 PM MDT Wed May 24 2017

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 7 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FIRE WEATHER ZONES 134, 135, 136, 137 AND THE WESTERN HALF OF
ZONE 120 FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

.DISCUSSION...Made a quick early afternoon update to increase
temps and lower RH as prefrontal compression is allowing temps to
spike up ahead of the front. Gilchrist

Previous discussion: A strong low pressure system and attendant
cold front pushes through the region today, bringing with it
anomalously dry and windy conditions in the western half of the
district, and chances for showers and thunderstorms in the east
mainly this afternoon and evening. Windy conditions will continue
on Thursday as the low pressure system moves slowly across
Saskatchewan.
