FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
217 PM CDT FRI SEP 4 2015

.DISCUSSION...
ANOTHER DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE TN VALLEY ON SATURDAY. THIS
WILL HELP TO GENERATE AN ISOLATED THREAT FOR AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY ACROSS NORTHEAST ALABAMA. MOISTURE INCREASES
ON SUNDAY AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE SOUTH AND WILL LEAD TO A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE ENTIRE REGION. WHILE TRANSPORT WINDS
REMAIN LIGHT SAT AND SUN...GOOD MIXING HEIGHTS EACH AFTERNOON WILL
LEAD TO GOOD DISPERSION VALUES. THERE WILL BE A BRIEF BREAK IN
THE SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. CHANCES
BEGIN TO INCREASE AGAIN BY THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK AS MOISTURE INCREASES
AND A COLD FRONT BEGINS TO NEAR THE AREA.
