Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
Nantional Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
344 AM CST Sun Feb 26 2017

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE GUADALUPE
MOUNTAINS...

.DISCUSSION...
The Guadalupe Mtns are of greatest concern today as low RH, poor
recovery, and windy conditions will yield critical fire weather
conditions this afternoon. RH/s will be 15 percent or less for most
of the remainder of the area today, with elevated fire weather
conditions expected for portions of SE NM/Upper Trans Pecos where
winds will near or briefly exceed 20 mph. Otherwise, increasing
winds and dry/warm conditions through early week may result in more
widespread critical fire weather concerns by Tuesday.
