ABUNDANT LIGHTNING ON DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 281 AND
285...AND PORTIONS OF FIRE WEATHER ZONES 280, 282, 284, 621, 623,

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM PDT
WEDNESDAY FOR ABUNDANT LIGHTNING ON DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER
ZONES 624 AND 625 IN OREGON AND FIRE WEATHER ZONE 285 IN
CALIFORNIA...

.DISCUSSION...
Southwest flow has developed in the mid-levels and will continue to
transport smoke from west side wildfires northeastward today.
Meanwhile, low pressure over southern California will bring
increasing moisture, instability and strong enough trigger for
scattered shower and thunderstorm development from the Siskiyous
and Cascades south and eastward. There`s a chance a few isolated
storms could move into portions of the Rogue and Illinois valley
and eastern Douglas Counties and along the Cascades, but
confidence is low in this due to the combination of smoke and
weaker trigger. Scattered thunderstorms will return east of
the Oregon Cascades and Mt Shasta area eastward Wednesday.
