FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ
305 PM MST FRI JUL 25 2014

.DISCUSSION...
VERY WARM...BUT A FEW DEGREES OF COOLING EXPECTED TODAY...AS UPPER
LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE BEGINS WEAKENING AND SHIFTING FURTHER TO THE
EAST. INCREASING MOISTURE WILL MEAN A GREATER LIKELIHOOD OF AFTERNOON
AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION. THE BIGGEST THREAT WILL
BE IN THE MOUNTAINS EAST OF PHOENIX. WINDS WILL BE GENERALLY OUT OF
THE SOUTHWEST AND LESS THAN 10 MPH...BUT WILL BECOME VARIABLE AND
GUSTY AS OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES FROM STORMS MOVE ACROSS THE AREA. MINIMUM
HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER TEENS TO AROUND 25 PERCENT.
GOOD OVERNIGHT RECOVERY IS EXPECTED.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS...

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
