...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE ODILE WILL TRACK EAST OF OUR AREA THROUGH
THURSDAY. A SURGE OF MOISTURE FROM THIS STORM WILL INCREASE THE
THREAT OF SCATTERED AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS AND FLASH FLOODING FOR
PORTIONS OF THE AREA. AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE INTO THE
AREA ON THURSDAY EVENING TO BEGIN A DRYING TREND.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

THE HOT...HUMID AND UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE WILL BRING A CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE MOUNTAINS...DESERTS AND PORTIONS OF THE VALLEYS
THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE
REGION THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND WHICH WILL BRING A DRYING AND
COOLING TREND AND A RETURN OF THE MARINE LAYER. STRONGER ONSHORE
FLOW WILL BRING GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS
THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. HIGHER PRESSURE ALOFT EARLY
NEXT WEEK WILL BRING WARMER WEATHER.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

TROPICAL MOISTURE FROM FORMER HURRICANE ODIEL WILL CONTINUE TO COVER
THE REGION THROUGH FRIDAY. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
WILL CONTINUE MAINLY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...BUT PARTICULARLY IN
THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN GILA COUNTY. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES
WILL REMAIN HIGHER THAN NORMAL...IN THE 30 TO 40 PERCENT RANGE. THE
EXCEPTION IS SOUTHEAST CA WHERE MINIMUM HUMIDITIES WILL HOVER NEAR
20 PERCENT. AFTERNOON SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL BE LIGHTER THAN NORMAL...
UNDER 15 MPH. OVERNIGHT RECOVERY WILL BE FAIR.
