.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions across Tom Green county will be low for
the next 72 hours. We are expecting near record high temperatures
today with temperatures reaching the upper 90s to near 100
degrees for areas around San Angelo. Southeasterly flow at the
surface will allow for dewpoints to remain in the low to mid 60s
today and Thursday, which will allow for RH values to remain
above 30%. There is a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms
Thursday afternoon but look to remain north and east of San
Angelo. By Friday temperatures will begin to cool back into the
upper 80s. Winds will be primarily from the south to southwest
over the next 72 hours. Winds will be at their strongest during
the late morning and afternoon hours at around 10 to 15 MPH with
gusts up to 20 MPH.
