.DISCUSSION...
Chances for showers and storms return this evening as a line of severe storms develop
and track eastward overnight. These storms gradually weaken as they enter northeast Kansas,
but may still contain small hail and wind gusts to around 65 mph. Time of arrival is currently
between 1 AM and 4 AM for Westmoreland. The activity should come to an end by mid-morning
Saturday with quiet and mild conditions expected this weekend. North winds may be of some
concern Saturday afternoon, gusting up to 25 mph at times.

Severe storms remain possible Monday afternoon and evening as another boundary moves through
the region. Confidence is moderate in storms developing within the state with lesser
certainty on exact area and locations that will be impacted. Based on the environment, any
storms that do develop will be severe with all hazards possible. South winds increase into
the afternoon from 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
