...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS CURRENTLY LOW FOR THE ENTIRE STATE.

THE UPPER LEVEL PATTERN CURRENTLY HAS A LOW OVER THE BERING SEA...
WITH RIDGING OVER THE PANHANDLE INTO THE YUKON. THE UPPER LOW WILL
MOVE INTO THE BERING STRAIT REGION TONIGHT WITH A TRAILING TROUGH
PIVOTING THROUGH THE GULF COAST THURSDAY. THIS UPPER LOW WILL THEN
BECOME STATIONARY THROUGH SATURDAY. ANOTHER LOW WILL DEVELOP SOUTH
OF THE ALEUTIAN ISLANDS SUNDAY AND MOVE EASTWARD.

WIDESPREAD RAIN THROUGHOUT WESTERN ALASKA TODAY AND TONIGHT.
GREATEST AMOUNTS IN THE PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND AREA WITH UP TO 3
INCHES POSSIBLE. RAIN SPREADING EASTWARD FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER MOST OF THE STATE WITH THE EXCEPTION
OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ALASKA.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER WESTERN ALASKA... INCLUDING THE
ALEUTIAN ISLANDS... AND THE NORTH SLOPE.
