5 Day Ice Discussion...
Thursday high pressure will dominate the Gulf Coast into the lower Ohio
Valley while low pressure will move south of the Canadian Rockies. The
high will weaken and drift to the southeast states as the low moves east
into central Ontario. Saturday the low will reach eastern Quebec dragging
a Canadian cold front onto the northern Lakes while a stationary front
sets up across the central lakes. Sunday low pressure will move to
northern Illinois from the central plains as the central lakes front turns
warm. Monday the deepening low will move into the western lakes.

West to southwest flow will dominate across the lakes Thursday through
Saturday. By Sunday winds on the northern lakes will turn northeast behind
the cold front. East to northeast flow will dominate the northern lakes
into Monday as the low moves into the western lakes. South to southwest
flow will continue across the southern half of the region.
