...WATERSPOUTS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS THIS
AFTERNOON...

CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE TO PRODUCE THUNDERSTORMS AND STRONG
SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON. ADDITIONALLY...THERE IS A NOTABLE THREAT
FOR WATERSPOUTS TO DEVELOP. MULTIPLE CELLS ACROSS THE NORTHERN
OREGON AND SOUTHERN WASHINGTON WATERS HAVE SHOWN ROTATION WHICH
COULD PRODUCE WATERSPOUTS IF CONDITIONS ALIGN.

WATERSPOUTS CAN EASILY OVERTURN BOATS AND CREATE LOCALLY
HAZARDOUS SEAS. IF VESSELS ENCOUNTER A WATERSPOUT...THEY COULD BE
DAMAGED FROM BRIEF HIGHER WINDS AND SUDDENLY HIGHER WAVES.

MARINERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO MAINTAIN AWARENESS OF SURROUNDING
CONDITIONS AND RELAY REPORTS OF WATERSPOUTS TO THE UNITED STATES
COAST GUARD. ALSO...CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO SHOULD
ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS BE ISSUED REGARDING THIS THREAT.
