...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM TO THE SOUTH OF MONA ISLAND...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  MONA PASSAGE SOUTHWARD TO 17N...

AT 1130 PM AST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM...
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS
LOCATED OFF TO THE SOUTH OF MONA ISLANDS. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS
MOVING NORTHWESTWARD AT AROUND 10 KNOTS. IN ADDITION, MARINERS
SHOULD EXPECT TORRENTIAL RAINFALL...GUSTY WINDS AROUND 35 KNOTS AND
FREQUENT LIGHTNING. ALSO...SUDDEN WATERSPOUTS ARE POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN
WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED METAL
OBJECTS.
