...ARCTIC COLD GRIPS INTERIOR...

Cold arctic air has moved over the interior areas of Alaska and
temperatures have dropped to 30 to 45 below in many locations from
the arctic plain to the Alaska Range and west to the middle Yukon
Valley.

Temperatures will warm 5 to 10 degrees today then fall back to 30
to 45 below tonight in many locations. A gradual warming trend is
expected Wednesday through Friday.

Some of the coldest temperatures recorded as of 2 am Monday
morning:
