WITHOUT POWER DURING THE PEAK OF THE EVENT.

REPORTS OF MULTIPLE TREES DOWN IN PALM BEACH GARDENS REPORTED VIA
SOCIAL MEDIA. TIMING IS BASED ON HIGHEST WIND GUST IN THE AREA
AROUND THE TIME REPORTED. OTHER REPORTS OF TREES DOWN AROUND THE
COUNTY. MULTIPLE AWNINGS RIPPED OFF FROM STOREFRONTS IN DOWNTOWN
WEST PALM BEACH. OVER 71,000 CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER NEAR THE PEAK
OF THE EVENT. REPORTS FROM PALM BEACH COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL RESOUCES
MANAGEMENT OFFICE INDICATE THAT BEACH EROSION WAS MODERATE ALONG THE
COUNTY`S BEACHES. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EROSION WAS NOTED FROM SINGER
ISLAND TO TEQUESTA. THE ESTIMATED DAMAGE TO THE BEACHES IS $29
MILLION.
