DISCUSSION:

MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS MORNING AND
CONTINUE FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. RAIN WILL TAPER OFF DURING THE EVENING.
WITH MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS SATURDAY. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHC OF TSTMS
WITH THIS SYSTEM. MAX RAINFALL RATES WILL BE AROUND A HALF INCH PER
HOUR WITH HEAVIER RATES UNDER TSTMS. MOST COASTAL AND VLYS AREAS
WILL SEE BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES OF RAIN TODAY WITH LOCAL THREE INCH
AMOUNTS ACROSS SOME COASTAL SLOPES AND LESSER AMOUNTS INLAND.

THE THIRD STORM WILL ARRIVE SUNDAY AND IT WILL BE THE STRONGEST OF
THEM ALL. RAINFALL TOTALS BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED FOR
COAST AND VALLEYS AND 2-4 LOCAL 6 INCHES FOR THE FOOTHILLS AND
MOUNTAINS. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHC OF TSTMS WITH THIS SYSTEM. MAX
RAINFALL RATES WILL BE AROUND A THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH PER HOUR
WITH HEAVIER RATES UNDER TSTMS. RAIN WILL TURN TO SHOWERS SUNDAY
NIGHT INTO MONDAY WITH ANOTHER QUARTER TO HALF INCH OF RAIN POSSIBLE.
A MUCH WEAK SYSTEM COULD BRING LIGHT RAIN TO THE AREA TUESDAY.

IT WILL THEN BE DRY FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK AND LIKELY
THE WEEKEND TOO.
