NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOS ANGELES/OXNARD CA
933 AM PST MON NOV 24 2014

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR
GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER THE MOUNTAINS OF LOS
ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES AND THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY...

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
OVER THE COAST AND VALLEY AREAS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA
COUNTIES...

.WINDS TODAY WILL BE WEAKER THAN YESTERDAY...BUT STILL GUSTY IN
THE FAVORED LOCATIONS. MOST AREAS WILL SEE HUMIDITIES BETWEEN 6
AND 15 PERCENT. THIS WILL LIKELY RESULT IN CRITICAL CONDITIONS
TODAY OVER SEVERAL AREAS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA
COUNTIES...ESPECIALLY IN THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS. RED
FLAG DURATIONS HOWEVER WILL LIKELY ONLY BE MET WHERE THE WINDS ARE
THE STRONGEST...NAMELY THE LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTY
MOUNTAINS...INCLUDING THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS WHERE THE THREAT
IS HIGHEST.

SOME STRENGTHENING OF THE NORTHEAST FLOW IS EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO
TUESDAY...BUT LESS THAN PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT. WHILE LESS CONFIDENT
THAN BEFORE...THERE IS A CHANCE FOR MARGINAL RED FLAG CONDITIONS
AND DURATIONS OVER LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES INCLUDING THE
COASTAL SECTIONS. SIMILAR CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY NIGHT
INTO WEDNESDAY.
