URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Medford OR
140 PM PDT Sat Jun 24 2017

...Significant lightning may lead to fire starts Sunday afternoon
through Monday...

.After very hot, dry weather this weekend, thunderstorms are
expected to develop over Northern California Sunday afternoon and
spread northeastward into Oregon Sunday evening through Monday
evening. Significant lightning is possible, especially in the
mountains. In addition, thunderstorms may move out across west
side valley locations Sunday evening and night and may bring dry
lightning. Thunderstorms are expected again on Monday, mainly from
the Siskiyous and western slopes of the Southern Oregon Cascades
and eastward. While heavy fuel moistures are currently not
conducive to fire spread or growth, finer fuels are dry and may
ignite and carry fire. This combination of factors may lead to
increased initial attack activity over the area.
