One quarter to one half inch of rain fell in the headwaters of the
James and Appomattox basins during the past 24 hours with lesser
amounts to the east. One half to one inch of rain is expected during
the 24 hour period occurred ending at 8 AM Saturday with locally
higher amounts possible. Rises of up to a few feet are forecast in
the James...Appomattox and Chowan basins during the next 48 hours.
