...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Grand River at Jackson...Ionia...
Lowell...Sycamore Creek at Holt...Looking Glass River at Eagle...
Maple River at Maple Rapids...Thornapple River at Hastings...

.A slow moving storm system will track into the region Monday into
Tuesday.  This system will produce areas of heavy rain.  There
is still some uncertainty as to where and how much rain will accompany
the passage of this system...but many locations are expected to see
generally 1 to 3 inches with the potential for more.  The following
forecast is based on observed and forecast 48 hour precipitation.

For the Grand River At Jackson... the latest stage was 9.5 feet at 8
PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 13.0 feet early Tuesday morning.  Flood stage is 14.0 feet.  At
13.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to flow into low lying
areas..

For the Grand River At Ionia... the latest stage was 9.2 feet at 10
PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 17.6 feet Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

For the Grand River At Lowell... no observed stage was available.  No
flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is 10.7 feet
Friday morning.  Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 3.7 feet at 5
PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 7.9 feet Tuesday morning.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At 8.0
feet... Expect minor flooding of low lying areas adjacent to the
river, in the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and sections of East Mt.
Hope Road..

For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle... the latest stage was 3.4
feet at 10 PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.9 feet Wednesday evening.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
At 7.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of homes in Dewitt and along the
river between Dewitt and Eagle. Flooding occurs in Riverside Park in
Dewitt and Looking Glass Valley Park in Wacousta..

For the Maple River At Maple Rapids... the latest stage was 3.2 feet
at 9 PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.8 feet early Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding in low
lying pastures, farmland, and wooded areas adjacent to the river..

For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 3.8
feet at 9 PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.6 feet early Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 7.0
feet.  At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of low
lying areas and farmland adjacent to the river..
