RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINS HAS LEAD TO HIGHER THAN NORMAL LAKE LEVELS ON
THE CATAWBA RIVER.  FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE
SHORE LINE AND AREAS BELOW THE DAM WILL BE LIKELY. PEOPLE WHO LIVE
NEAR THE LAKE SHORE AND ON STREAMS THAT FEED INTO THE LAKE ARE
ENCOURAGED TO BE AWARE OF THE HIGH WATER LEVELS AND TAKE ACTION NOW TO
PROTECT THEIR PROPERTY AND BOATS.

THE CATAWBA RIVER AT CEDAR CLIFF DAM IS THE ONLY REMAINING POINT THAT
IS STILL ABOVE FULL POOL.  AT 7 AM SUNDAY...THE POOL LEVEL WAS 100.50
FEET.  FULL POOL LEVEL IS 100 FEET AND MINOR FLOOD STAGE IS AT 102 FEET.
THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW FULL POOL TODAY.
