...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN CALHOUN...NORTH
CENTRAL NICHOLAS...SOUTHWESTERN GILMER...BRAXTON...NORTHWESTERN
WEBSTER AND NORTHEASTERN CLAY COUNTIES...

At 613 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Big Otter, or
12 miles west of Sutton, moving east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm, along with heavy rain and frequent lightning.

Locations impacted include...
Sutton, Gassaway, Birch River, Big Otter, Flatwoods, Nebo, Shock,
Frametown, Strange Creek, Wilsie, Servia, Rosedale, Boggs, Exchange,
Little Birch, Orma, Nicut, Chloe, Centralia and Erbacon.

This includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 37 and 70.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
