SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI
249 PM EDT FRI MAY 27 2016

A VERY SUMMER LIKE PATTERN WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES
REGION THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND...AS A LARGE AREA OF HIGH
PRESSURE REMAINS ANCHORED OVER THE MID ATLANTIC...WHILE A STORM
SYSTEM ORGANIZES OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS.

THIS PATTERN WILL GENERATE HUMID CONDITIONS AND ABOVE NORMAL HIGH
TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S ACROSS NORTHERN MICHIGAN THROUGH SUNDAY.
THERE WILL BE SEVERAL CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS
WEEKEND. THE BEST CHANCE FOR WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION WILL BE
SUNDAY...AS THE PLAINS STORM SYSTEM LIFTS INTO THE GREAT LAKES.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT...WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 50S NORTH TO THE
UPPER 60S SOUTH.

HIGH TEMPERATURES SATURDAY...WILL RANGE FROM THE 70S NORTH TO THE
MID 80S SOUTH.

HERE IS THE HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NORTHERN LOWER AND EASTERN
UPPER.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP IN NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN
AFTER 4 PM...AND WILL BECOME MORE NUMEROUS WHILE EXPANDING ACROSS
ALL OF NORTHERN MICHIGAN THROUGH THIS EVENING. THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BECOME LESS WIDESPREAD OVERNIGHT. STRONG STORMS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH
10 PM...WITH WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH...AND HAIL AS LARGE AS NICKELS.

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...
AND AGAIN ON TUESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. THERE IS A MARGINAL CHANCE
FOR SEVERE STORMS SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT.
