...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON
AKST MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ANCHORAGE HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON AKST
MONDAY.

* WIND...NORTHEAST WIND 10 TO 20 MPH.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...35 TO 50 BELOW ZERO.

* TIMING...WIND CHILLS WILL FALL TO DANGEROUSLY LOW LEVELS
  STARTING LATE TONIGHT AS WINDS INCREASE OUT OF THE NORTHEAST
  WITH CONTINUED COLD TEMPERATURES. WIND CHILLS WILL THEN
  DIMINISH DURING THE DAY ON MONDAY AS TEMPERATURES INCREASE.

* IMPACTS...INCREASED RISK OF HYPOTHERMIA AND FROSTBITE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROSTBITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
