...WINTER WEATHER WITH LOW SNOW LEVELS WILL AFFECT THE MOUNTAINS
THIS WEEKEND INCLUDING THE MAJOR MOUNTAIN PASSES...

.A COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE FRIDAY
AND PERSIST THROUGH MONDAY. THIS STORM SYSTEM COULD BRING SNOW TO
ELEVATIONS AS LOW AS 3500 FEET AND MIGHT AFFECT TRAVEL BOTH ON
THE I-5 AND I-14 SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

THIS IS A WATCH PRODUCT WHICH MEANS THAT AT THIS TIME THESE
WINTER CONDITIONS ARE JUST A POSSIBILITY...NOT A CERTAINTY.
PEOPLE PLANNING TRAVEL INTO OR THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS NEED TO BE
AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL FOR DANGEROUS WINTER WEATHER AND SEEK

* LOCATIONS...THE MOUNTAINS OF LOS ANGELES...VENTURA AND SANTA
  BARBARA COUNTIES.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW...BLOWING SNOW...LIGHTNING AND POOR
  VISIBILITIES.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...8 TO 16 INCHES OF SNOW COULD FALL ACROSS
  ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5500 FEET BY MONDAY MORNING. LESSER
  ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE 4000 FEET.

* TIMING...A CHANCE OF SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP LATER FRIDAY NIGHT.
  THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE DAY SATURDAY.
  SHOWERS WILL BE LIKELY SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. SHOWER
  ACTIVITY SHOULD START TO DIMINISH LATER SUNDAY EVENING INTO
  MONDAY MORNING. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP
  SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND LAST INTO SUNDAY.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COULD AFFECT TRAVEL ON THE I-5 AND THE I-14
  LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

* VISIBILITIES...SNOW...BLOWING SNOW AND FOG COULD RESTRICT
  VISIBILITIES TO A QUARTER MILE OR LESS.
