BEFORE PRECIPITATION CHANGES TO SNOW.

.RAIN WILL CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET IN THE WAKE OF AN
ARCTIC COLD FRONT MOVING SOUTHEAST ACROSS OUR AREA WEDNESDAY
NIGHT...BEFORE ENOUGH COLD AIR BUILDS IN TO CHANGE PRECIPITATION
TO SNOW. STRONG CONVERGENCE ASSOCIATED WITH A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
PASSING NEAR OUR AREA WILL MAKE FOR PERIODS OF HEAVY
PRECIPITATION...WITH HIGHEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED TO BE
FOUND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 64...WHERE TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLDEST.

  ALLEGHANY HIGHLANDS...AND THE SOUTHERN SHENANDOAH VALLEY.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 6
  INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE
