...HEAVY SNOW FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT IN THE
MOUNTAINS...

.ANOTHER STRONGER STORM WILL BRING HEAVY SNOW FRIDAY THROUGH
FRIDAY NIGHT. A THIRD STORM WILL BRING MAINLY RAIN SUNDAY EXCEPT
ON THE VERY HIGHEST PEAKS OF SAN BERNARDINO AND RIVERSIDE
COUNTIES...THEN SNOW LEVELS WILL LOWER SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY
POSSIBLY DOWN TO 4000 FEET. STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS WILL OCCUR AS
WELL...ESPECIALLY FRIDAY AND EARLY SATURDAY ALONG THE RIDGE TOPS
AND DESERT MOUNTAIN SLOPES...WITH WINDS POSSIBLY CAUSING
STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.

STORM WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO 6 AM PST
SATURDAY.

* SNOW LEVELS...5000 FEET TONIGHT...RISING TO 6000 FEET FRIDAY
  AFTERNOON...AND THEN LOWERING AGAIN TO 5000 FEET FRIDAY EVENING.

* TIMING...FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ABOVE 6000 FEET...12 TO 18 INCHES. 5500
  FEET TO 6000 FEET...6 TO 12 INCHES. 5000 TO 5500 FEET...3 TO 7
  INCHES.

* WINDS...WEST 25 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH...AND LOCAL
  GUSTS OVER 70 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...NEAR ZERO AT TIMES IN SNOW...BLOWING SNOW AND FOG.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE DANGEROUS AT TIMES OVER THE MOUNTAINS
  DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS...STRONG WINDS AND LOW VISIBILITY.
  DANGEROUS CROSS WINDS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WINDS MAY CAUSE
  STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AND KNOCK DOWN TREES AND POWER LINES.

* OUTLOOK...A WARMER STORM WILL BRING MAINLY RAIN ON SUNDAY...THEN
  COOLING ON MONDAY WILL BRING SOME SNOW TO THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY
  MOUNTAINS ABOVE 4000 FOOT ELEVATION.

  FEET WITH LOCAL 3 FEET POSSIBLE. 5500 TO 6000 FEET...1 TO 2
  FEET. 5000 TO 5500 FEET...5 TO 10 INCHES. 4500 TO 5000

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST TO WEST 20 TO 35 MPH WITH LOCAL GUSTS OVER 50

  GUSTS OVER 65 MPH FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT.
