URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Winter weather to return to parts of northeastern Wyoming and
southwestern South Dakota tonight into Friday...

.Another spring storm system will move through portions of the
northern and central high plains tonight and Friday. Low pressure
will strengthen across the Northern Rockies late today and shift
into eastern Wyoming tonight. Rain and areas of snow will continue
to develop through the early evening hours across northeast
Wyoming and southwest South Dakota, then transition to all snow
overnight. Snow will continue into Friday morning, then diminish
Friday afternoon as the low pressure system slides southeast of
the area. The heaviest snow is expected to fall across southern
Campbell County, where 5 to 10 inches of snow is expected by
Friday afternoon.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 PM MDT FRIDAY...

* TIMING...Rain and snow will continue to develop late today,
  becoming all snow this evening. Snow, moderate to heavy at
  times, will continue through most of the day on Friday.

* MAIN IMPACT...Snowfall totals of 5 to 9 inches are expected,
  with locally higher amounts possible mainly south and west of
  Wright.

* OTHER IMPACTS...Visibilities will be reduced to less than a
  quarter mile in the heavier snow. With many trees beginning to
  leaf out, the heavy wet snow could bring down some tree limbs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter storm warning for heavy snow means snow accumulations
will create dangerous conditions.

6 PM MDT FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MDT Friday.

* TIMING...Rain and snow will develop late this afternoon and
  evening, becoming all snow overnight. Snow will continue through
  Friday morning, then taper off in the afternoon.

* MAIN IMPACT...Snowfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected.
  Locally higher amounts are possible from Edgemont to Custer.

* OTHER IMPACTS...Visibilities will be reduced to near a quarter
  mile in the heavier snow. With many trees beginning to leaf
  out, the heavy wet snow could bring down some tree limbs.

  moderate to heavy at times, will continue through at least
  midday Friday, then begin to taper off in the afternoon.

* MAIN IMPACT...Snowfall totals of 2 to 6 inches are expected. The
  heaviest snowfall totals will generally be found across western
  portions of northern Campbell County and southwestern portions
  of Weston County.

* OTHER IMPACTS...Visibilities will be reduced to near a quarter
  mile in the heavier snow. With many trees beginning to leaf
  out, the heavy wet snow could bring down some tree limbs.
