...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
  counties, Clay, Randolph and Tallapoosa.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1003 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen
    across portions of the advisory area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to locally 2 inches are
    expected over the area through noon. This additional rain
    will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Roanoke, Wadley, Goldville, Malone, Crystal Lake, Dickert,
    Motley, Rock Stand, Roanoke Municipal Airport, Mellow Valley,
    Rock Mills, Big Springs and Paran.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
