An ill-defined cold front over northwest PA will drift southeast
across the state today with a subtle wind shift to the northwest
and even drier air in its wake. Look for mostly sunny skies and
excellent visibility once again today.

High temperatures will vary from the mid 60s along the Lake Erie
shoreline to the upper 80s in the Philadelphia metro area. Lows
tonight will range from the mid 40s across the far northern tier
along the New York border to the upper 50s across the southern
tier including areas in and around Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and
Philadelphia.

Clouds will be on the increase Friday morning ahead of the next
weather system. Showers and thunderstorms will move into western
Pennsylvania later Friday and continue eastward Friday night.
This unsettled weather pattern with more showers and
thunderstorms is expected to continue throughout the weekend. 2
day, weekend rainfall totals will average between one third and
three quarters of an inch.
