Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
216 AM MDT Mon Apr 22 2024

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING

.DISCUSSION...

Critical fire weather conditions expected today for areas west of
the Laramie Range. Fuels largely remain non-critical in most of
these zones, however, for zones with critical fuels, fire weather
conditions are expected. Sunday night humidity recoveries have been
poor to fair. This will lead continued dry conditions during the day
Monday. Minimum relative humidities below 15 percent are expected
with above average temperatures. Strong, gusty winds are also
expected with gusts over 50 MPH possible. A cold front on Tuesday
will lead to cooler, near average temperatures with a chance for
precipitation. Warmer temperatures, but more precipitation chances
on Wednesday and Thursday.
