.DISCUSSION...
Surface high pressure centered over the region will promote dry and
mostly clear conditions across north and central Georgia for the
remainder of the day. Minimum relative humidity values will range
from 25-35 percent this afternoon. The lowest RH values are expected
in portions of east-central Georgia and far north Georgia. In these
locations, RH values could reach critical thresholds of 25 percent
for an hour or two, but not for long enough to warrant a Fire Danger
Statement at this time. Winds this afternoon will be primarily SSW
at 6-12 mph. By sunrise on Wednesday morning, winds are forecast to
be primarily W at 5-10 mph. On Wednesday afternoon, winds will range
from 8-12 mph, from NW in north Georgia and W to SW in central
Georgia. Minimum RH values on Wednesday afternoon will range from 30-
40 percent in central Georgia, but will be higher in north Georgia,
ranging from 40-50 percent. Isolated light showers will be possible
in portions of the area on Wednesday afternoon as a weak frontal
boundary moves southward through Georgia. Forecast rainfall amounts
are forecast to be light, at less than one-tenth of an inch, with
any showers that occur.
