With recent rains, the fire danger will continue to remain low for the next several days. Today will start out dry before showers move in later this afternoon into tonight. At the time of ignition, the sky will be clear, temperatures will be in the mid 50s, dew point will be in the mid 40s, and relative humidity (RH) will be around 70%. Winds will be southwesterly at around 10 mph with gusts around 15 mph. Remnants of the morning will still be in place, with mixing heights only around 500 ft above ground level (AGL). As a result, smoke will be held close to the surface. The inversion is expected to continue to mix out as the surface warms this morning, and by noon should be around 1400 ft AGL, reaching a peak mixing height of 3500 ft AGL by 3pm. Clouds will increase through the day and the sky will be mostly cloudy around 3pm. Winds will gradually increase this morning to a peak sustained of 15 mph with gusts of 20 mph around 3 pm. A cold front will be approaching the area will cause winds to gradually turn southerly by approximately 5pm. They continue to turn counter clockwise as the front approaches. The front will pass through the area between 9pm and midnight, after which winds will be northerly. Despite the frontal passage, maximum wind gusts are expected to remain 15-20 mph. Rain showers are expected to follow the front, and will begin between 10pm and midnight. Showers are expected to be clear of the area after 8 am. Rain totals are expected to be between 0.25 and 0.5 inches. Maximum temperature for this afternoon will be in the upper 60s, with an overnight minimum in the mid 40s. Dew points are expected to remain in the mid 40s through Saturday morning. RH will fall through the day reaching its minimum of 40% around 3 pm, increasing again overnight. .REST OF TODAY...
