...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1932, a dust storm moved across Rawlins County. It was the first
in a series of storms that impacted the county through the summer.

In 1995, a landspout type tornado moved west and then southwest at
15 mph to the eastern outskirts of Leoti Kansas in Wichita
County. The tornado hit a train near Coronado, but no damage
occurred.
