The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Big Island Windward Waters...
  Maui County Windward Waters...

* Until 815 PM HST.

* At 616 PM HST, a cluster of thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 20 nm northeast of FAD Buoy FF, or 36 nm
  northeast of Hamoa, moving northeast at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  FAD Buoy N, FAD Buoy DD, FAD Buoy FF, FAD Buoy HO, and FAD Buoy Q.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are
wearing life jackets.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water, stay below deck if possible.
