...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM CDT
FOR CHASE AND SOUTHEASTERN MARION COUNTIES...

At 539 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles south of Wilsey to near Peabody, moving east
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Marion, Peabody, Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Florence, Elmdale,
Cedar Point, Hymer, Wonsevu, Tallgrass Prairie, and Tallgrass Prairie
Preserve.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and
east central Kansas.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
