Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
310 AM CDT Mon May 13 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Periodic precipitation chances throughout the next week will help
limit fire weather concerns for western and north central
Nebraska. In fact, thunderstorms along a cool front tomorrow
afternoon and evening have the potential for a widespread 0.25" of
moisture for areas near and east of Highway 83. One exception to
the concern comes Friday when a brief stint of warm and dry
conditions (RH near 20% in the southwest) coincides with
west/northwest winds gusting 25+ mph. Another round of possible
wetting rain then arrives Saturday.
