...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
counties, western Los Angeles and extreme eastern Ventura.
* WHEN...Until 345 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Roadway and small stream flooding will be likely,
especially low lying and poor drainage areas. In addition, there
will be the threat of rockslides and mudslides, especially in the
foothills and canyon roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 150 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to locally
heavy rainfall over extreme eastern Ventura and western Los
Angeles counties, including the Santa Clarita Valley, San
Fernando Valley, and Santa Monica mountains/Malibu area.
Rainfall rates between 0.25 and 0.50 inches per hour will be
common. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms which could
also cause accumulating small hail.

Simi Valley, Malibu, Northridge, Van Nuys, Encino,
Chatsworth, Woodland Hills, North Hollywood, Santa Clarita,
Universal City, Burbank, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa
Monica, Griffith Park, Culver City, Agoura Hills and Downtown
Los Angeles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
