...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...

At 1216 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Key Bridge to near Mason
Neck State Park, moving east at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Fort Washington, Tidal Basin, Reagan National Airport, Gunston Hall,
Woodrow Wilson Bridge, Key Bridge, Fort Hunt, National Harbor, and
Alexandria.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
