...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN BRADLEY...
SOUTHWESTERN MEIGS...SOUTHEASTERN SEQUATCHIE AND NORTHEASTERN
HAMILTON COUNTIES THROUGH 315 AM EDT/215 AM CDT/...

At 227 AM EDT/127 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Fairmount, or 7 miles south of Dunlap, moving east
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cleveland, Dunlap, Soddy-Daisy, Lakesite, Cartwright, Flat Top
Mountain, North Chickamauga Creek Gorge, Hopewell, Big Spring, and
Sale Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT/300 AM CDT/ for
east Tennessee.
