The Wilkes County Emergency Manager reported
a small confined area in which several trees
were twisted, blown over, or otherwise
damaged, including some embedded power
lines, at 500 Speedway Lane, just up the
road from the Wilkesboro Race Track, which
is located at 381 Speedway Lane, North
Wilkesboro.

blown down at the racetrack.

Wilkesboro Speedway. Fishing Creek came out
of its banks west of the speedway and
threatened campground. Radar estimated that
5 inches of rain fell just west of the
racetrack.

Several Road closures with damage to roads
along highway 67, between Jonesville and
East Bend. Mill Hill Road damaged/closed
from flooding. Logan Creek out of its banks.
Chestnut Street in East Bend closed due to
water damage. Radar estimated 3.5 inches
rain fell just west of East Bend.

The Monroe County Division of the West
Virginia Department of Highways and the
Monroe County 911 Center reported that Trout
Run Road was flooded and closed in the far
southeast corner of the county. This
occurred in the 1600 block of Trout Run
Road. The road was closed due to the
flooding for at least 24 hours.

The Smyth County 911 Center reported that a
tree was down on Plum Creek Road just west
of VA Highway 107 on the northwest side of
Chilhowie The road was partially blocked.
