Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure will begin to build over the region
on Friday and last throughout the weekend. A warming and drying
trend will take hold before upper-level troughing returns on
Monday with showers and cooler temps. But, signs are pointing
towards more ridging later next week.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit will make it difficult to
move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high
level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of
GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these
conditions.

.FRIDAY...Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain in the morning.
A slight chance of snow in the morning. A slight chance of rain
and snow late in the afternoon. Snow level near 5000 feet
increasing to 6000 feet in the afternoon.
