...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM AST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by water surges along Rio Grande de Manati
  due to previous excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following county,
  Manati, along Rio Grande de Manati.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM AST.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not
  be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
  It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
  work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1134 PM AST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to River Flooding. Flooding is
    already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Rio Cibuco_Coastal Watershed, Coastal Watershed, Rio Grande
    de Manati and Rio Morovis.
    Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Barceloneta and La Luisa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
