...New UPDATE...

.UPDATE...
Issued at 817 AM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024

Another quiet morning across the area as surface high continues in
the Atlantic and upper ridging in the Gulf of Mexico remains in
full control. Recent satellite imagery shows some high level
cirrus streaming across the area as there has been a gradual
increase in moisture aloft so expecting a little more high cloud
cover today compared to recent days with highs reaching the
mid/upper 80s near the coast and low 90s in inland areas.

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 127 AM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024

Dry high pressure will continue to ridge across the area through
the rest of the week. This will keep an E/SE flow in place with
afternoon sea breezes near the coast each day. Highs will be
gradually climbing with mid 80s to lower 90s this afternoon, to
mid 80s to mid 90s inland by Friday. The high center shifts east
for the weekend as a cold front settles into north Florida. Highs
continue in the mid 80s coastal to mid 90s inland through the
weekend. The cold front will then push through the area on
Monday/Monday night, with scattered showers/storms possible along
and ahead of it. High pressure builds back into the area for the
rest of the period, with an E/NE flow in place. Highs return to
the mid 80s to lower 90s through the end of the period. Lows
throughout the week will be in the 60s.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 726 AM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024

VFR conditions will prevail throughout the period with E/SE winds
this morning but will gradually shift onshore at coastal
terminals this afternoon as the sea breeze moves inland. Wind
speeds will generally be around 5-10 kts today before falling to
5 kts or less tonight.

.MARINE...
Issued at 127 AM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024

High pressure ridges across the area through the end of the week,
keeping a general E/SE flow in place with an afternoon sea breeze
turning winds onshore near the coast each day. The high shifts
east as a front settles into northern Florida for the weekend,
bringing lighter winds with a greater diurnal influence. No
headlines are expected through the period.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 127 AM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024

Moisture will be slow to moderate in the E/SE flow through the
rest of the week and the weekend, with a couple of hours of
critical humidities possible mainly inland each afternoon. Rain
chances for early next week.
