At 1228 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly west of a
Tulsa to McAlester line, also south of I44 and east of the Muskogee
Turnpike and also in Arkansas west of I49. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Wagoner, Okfuskee and Mcintosh
counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area.
Movement was to the east at around 20 mph. The average amount where
it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum
amounts of three to four inches. Coverage, and intensity increased
during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight,
mostly cloudy, occasional showers and thunderstorms with
temperatures 63 to 69 degrees and northeast winds up to 10 mph.
