AREA...East of a line from Vinita Oklahoma to McAlester Oklahoma.
ONSET...Ongoing...ending by late evening.

SIGNIFICANT WINDS.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

FIRE WEATHER DANGER.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...West of Highway 75 across northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
A band of showers and thunderstorms are ongoing along a cold front
currently extending through eastern Oklahoma. Storms will continue
along this front as it moves slowly eastward this evening. A brief
strong to severe storm is possible with large hail and locally
gusty winds the primary concern. Thunderstorms will diminish by
late evening. Gusty winds continue both in advance and behind
the passing cold front. These winds will maintain higher grassland
fire spread rates across portions of northeast Oklahoma through
sunset.
