...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN WASHITA AND SOUTHERN CUSTER COUNTIES...

AT 1043 PM CDT...MOST OF THE HEAVY RAINFALL HAD ENDED ACROSS THE
WARNED AREA. HOWEVER...ROAD CLOSURES IN AND AROUND CLINTON WERE
REPORTED BY LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT DUE TO FLASH FLOODING AND MODERATE
TO LIGHT RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO. FLASH
FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
CLINTON...CORDELL...BURNS FLAT...ARAPAHO...DILL CITY...CANUTE...
BESSIE...FOSS...FOSS RESERVOIR AND STAFFORD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
