...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the
following rivers in Illinois...

  Pecatonica River at Freeport affecting Stephenson County

.Routed water from recent heavy rainfall, and additional forecasted
heavy rainfall over the next 12 hours will lead to major flooding on
the Pecatonica River. Should this heavy rain not materialize, then forecast
crests will be lower.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Pecatonica River at Freeport.
* Until further notice.
* At  9:30 PM Friday the stage was 13.2 feet...and rising quickly.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise to 15.4 feet Sunday.
* Impact...At  16.5 feet...Water surrounds Taylor Park School and
  affects Illinois Highway 75 east of Freeport.
