THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES  HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  THE NECHES RIVER AFFECTING...
  NORTHWESTERN ORANGE COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS...
  EAST CENTRAL HARDIN COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS...
  SOUTHERN JASPER COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS...

* UNTIL 230 PM CDT MONDAY

* AT 225 PM CDT...THE WATER LEVELS ON THE NECHES RIVER AT WEISS
  BLUFF ARE ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR 15.1 FEET AND THE LATEST READING
  FROM THE NECHES SALTWATER BARRIER IS 5.1 FEET. THE RIVER IS
  FORECAST TO CONTINUE RISING THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT OR FRIDAY
  MORNING ABOUT ANOTHER HALF A FOOT FROM THE CURRENT LEVELS BEFORE
  WATER LEVELS BEGIN TO RECEDE.

  THESE WATER LEVELS WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE ADDITIONAL FLOODING TO
  LOW LYING COMMUNITIES ALONG THE RIVER IN NORTHWEST ORANGE COUNTY
  FROM AROUND LAKE VIEW TO THE SALTWATER BARRIER THROUGH THE
  WEEKEND.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  LAKEVIEW AND WEISS BLUFF.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
TO PROTECT THEIR PROPERTY FROM FLOOD WATERS.
