The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Washita River at Lindsay.

* from Sunday morning to Tuesday morning...or until the warning is
  cancelled.

* At 8:00 AM Saturday the stage was 12.9 feet.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* Forecast...The Washita River will rise above flood stage mid Sunday
  morning and crest near 22.0 feet early Monday morning. The Washita
  River will fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.

* Impact...At 22 feet...Agricultural lands...rural roads...and
  oilfields from near Lindsay to near Maysville are covered by
  overflow depths up to 4 feet...with dangerous currents. The
  Washita River inundates low-lying residential streets at the
  outskirts of Lindsay.

...Forecast flooding increased from Moderate to Major severity...

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Washita River near Dickson.

* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 8:30 AM Saturday the stage was 29.9 feet.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

* Forecast...The Washita River will continue rising to near 38.5 feet
  early Sunday afternoon.

* Impact...At 39 feet...Flood depths up to 14 feet extend damages
  along the Washita River valley...from near Davis in Murray
  County...to near Dickson in Carter County...to the headwaters of
  Lake Texoma in Johnston County. Many homesteads may be flooded or
  isolated. Over 8 thousand acres of agricultural lands are covered.
  Any flooding on tributary creeks is increased by backwater from the
  river.
